    Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren remains confident of the team’s chances of winning a major silverware soon.

     



    The Queens surmounted many obstacles to place third for the first time since 2016.

    Since achieving that major feat, football people have been calling for significant investment in the women’s game to bolster their efforts on the pitch.

    Speaking after Ghana’s exploits in Morocco, the head coach affirmed his belief that the team will win the WAFCON title soon.

    “Tactical aspect, we learnt from the first game and we did some small changes,” Björkegren said.

    “The future is bright in Ghana, so we need to keep working hard. We can see how close we are, of course, we know we can win it [the AFCON].”

    Coach Kim and his technical team will be hoping to build on the success chalked up in Morocco.

    Meanwhile, Nigeria recovered from two goals down to beat Morocco to actualize their 10th title, tagged Mission X”.
