Former Ghana Premier League champions, Accra Hearts of Oak suffered a major blip in their first leg preliminary stages of the CAF Confederations Cup after losing 3-0 to Malian side, Real Bamako at the Stade Modibo Keita.

The host started the game brightly mounting a series of pressure on their visitors which paid off in the 11th minute.

It wasn’t until 20 minutes later that, Hearts of Oak were finally finding their feat in the game, they were stunned yet again, 2-0 to end the first half of the game.

Coach David Ocloo serving in an interim capacity following the sacking of Samuel Boadu will effect changes in the 56th minute , which will see Prince Darmang and Rashid Okine take the places off Gladson Awako , Dennis Korsah.

Real Bamako added another their 3rd of the afternoon on the 75th-minute stroke to demoralize the faint hopes of the Ghanaian club.

Hearts of Oak will have an uphill task turning around the 3-0 deficit in Accra on October,15,2022 when the pair meet in the reverse fixture of the CAF Confederations Cup.
