Watch Highlights: Medeama 1-0 Hearts of Oak | Ghana League

Accra Hearts of Oak were dealt yet another blow to their title ambitions when they lost away to Medeama SC by 1-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Akoon Park.

The rainbow club were looking to remedy their weekend loss at the hands of Accra Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium likewise the Mauve and Yellow side, who were looking to getting better results after losing their week 11 encounter to table toppers, Karela United.

The first half saw both sides test each other’s prowess but in the end, there was relatively nothing to choose amongst the pair when centre referee Rustum Gameli Senorgbe called for the end of the first half session.

Upon resumption of the second half, not later than five minutes Medeama’s poster boy, Justice Blay scored from a cross from a teammate, Agyenim Boateng for his side in what would eventually turn out to be the match-winner.

The results see Medeama placed in the 9th position whiles the visiting side drop to 10th place marking back-to-back defeats in the ongoing defeat.
