Ebusua  Dwarfs defied all odds at the Carl Reindolf park to hand David Ocloo’s Liberty Professional their first home loss of the season in a 2-1 victory.

The home side were coming into this fixture on the back of a 2-0 loss to Kumasi Asante Kotoko, with that in mind, they needed to make sure they gave their home fans who trooped into the stadium for the first time after the president issued the directive for fans to grace stadiums.

Liberty started the early exchanges on a brighter note than their nemesis from Cape Coast, it was no surprise that they were awarded a penalty as early as the fifteenth minute of proceedings, which the new poster boy of the side, Abraham Wayo converted expertly to hand his side the early advantage of the game.

The Crabs bruised by that early goal switched their tactics which worked to perfection when Michael Ohene Asamoah headed brilliantly from a resulting corner on the left-hand side of the pitch to square things off at 1-1.

The away side will continue to dominate the home side upon the second half resumption, Musah Sumaila single-handedly dribbled past two players to shot past Kofi Baah in post for Liberty in the 84th minute not later than a minute after going ahead, Simon Martey was shown a straight red by the center referee to leave the away side a man short.

In the end, Coach Ernest Thompson Quartey a happy man and his charges will head back to Cape Coast properly strategize ahead of a difficult home duel against a resurgent Kotoko.
