    Kotoko responded positively after going down to early goal from Isaac Mintah in the first half to pick all three maximum points at the expense of the table toppers, Aduana Stars in a spirited encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.



    The much talk about fixture for the weekend, drew lots of talking points as both sides were looking to get on over each other to make a real statement in the league, which is edging closer towards the finish line.

    Kotoko, head coach, Abdul Gazelle named a solid lineup which featured the likes off, Steven Mukwala, George Mfegue, Richmond Lamptey, Richard Boadu, the impressive, Eric Zeze and others.

    Coach Fabian also named a host off his trusted boys, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Frank Owusu, K.A Frimpong, inform, Isaac Mintah and others in the staring lineup.



    Both teams were edgy in the first few minutes of the game, it wasn’t until the away side, got the better of the exchanges after, former player, Emmanuel Gyamfi went past youngster, Augustine Agyapong with cheeky easy to set up Isaac Mintah for the first goal of the evening.

    The Porcupine Warriors reacted well to going behind as foreign imports, George Mfegue and Steven Mukwala combined effortlessly to restore the host back to parity.

    After the second half, Rocky Dwamena wrestled a ball in the heart of midfield and threaded one through to Eric Zeze, who confidently went past Adams before shooting beyond the reach off, Joseph Addo in post for Aduana Stars.

    The win sees. Kotoko up to 5th on the log whiles the Ogya boys maintained their position at the summit with their lead cut by 3 points heading into round twenty-eight of the league fixtures.
