    A John Antwi brace aided Ghanaian club, Dreams FC to a first-leg win over Stade Malien away in the CAF Confederations Cup at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako.


    The first half failed to produce any goal between the two sides despite the home team’s dominance with, goalkeeper, Solomon Agbasi proving his mettle between the sticks for the Ghanaian side.

    The home side took the lead in the 53rd minute, following Coulibaly’s laid-off pass saw to Yoro Diaby, who struck a perfect shot from 30 yards to beat goalkeeper, Solomon Agbasi who could do little to stop the ferocious strike.
    The goal forced the hand of, Coach Zito, who looked to his bench, bringing on Ishmael Dede for Mohammed Abubakar in the 62nd minute.

    WATCH HIGHLIGHTS :

    Forward, Agyenim Boateng Mensah forced a save from goalkeeper, Ngolo Traore with captain John Antwi pouncing on the resulting save for the away side’s equalizer.
    John Antwi was back on the scoresheet through an expertly converted penalty kick after Aziz Issah’s shot destined for goal hit the arm off Issah Yakubu.

    The Dawu based on their maiden participation in the CAF Confederations Cup tournament will look to finish off their hard work when the pair meet on April, 7,2024 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
