The Black Stars of Ghana’s hopes of securing a home win ended with a snag as they lost at home to Angola in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying games.

Substitute, Milson was the quickest to react to a loose clearance from Abdul Mumin in the penalty box to slot one past the helpless, Ati-Zigi in post for the host.

The BlackStars looking to get their qualifying campaign with a win were on the losing end as they created sparse chances in the first half.

The second half looked a bit livelier than the first as they played with better intensity than the first, creating chances, with Kudus and Semenyo the main architects but none hit the back of the net with their tried efforts.

The Palancreas Negras through substitute Milson got the vital goal and the precious three points to kickstart their campaign with a healthy lead at the apex of the table.

This result signifies Ghana’s first defeat in over two decades playing in Kumasi.
