Watch: Ghanaian footballer make history by speaking Twi in CAF CL press conference

Ghanaian footballer Comfort Yeboah was in the spotlight on Monday evening after helping Ampem Darkoa Ladies beat AS FAR Rabat 1-2 in the CAF Women’s Champions League.



The talented player scored the equalizer and later saw her cross deflected to give her side their first-ever win in the competition.

Despite her heroics in her Champions League debut, Comfort Yeboah was trending on social media for answering her post-match questions with local Ghanaian language “Twi”. She became the first Ghanaian woman to use the local language in the CAF Champions League post-match interview.



Comfort Yeboah received a lot of praise for using her Twi during the interview.
