The Black Starlets of Ghana asserted their superiority over their  Beninois counterparts in game two of the ongoing U17 WAFU Zone West B tournament at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Before the game, the host side had thrashed their neighbors on the left-hand of the African map, Cote d’Ivoire in a six-goal thriller.

Coach Laryea Kingson named a spirited lineup of energetic boys to play their opponents for today’s game.

The game started with frantic pace and energy with both teams cancelling out each other in the early embers of the game.

It wasn’t until Mark Kagawa Mensah got on the end of a silky pass from a teammate in the 19th minute to slot one past the goalkeeper in post for the Benin side.

Three minutes later, a team effort that involved twenty-seven sequential passes saw Theophilus Ayamga double the Starlet’s lead in the 22nd minute.
