    The Black Princesses lifted the inaugural WAFU B U20 tournament following their win over fiercest rivals Nigeria in the finals of the WAFU B U-20 Girls tournament.




    Ghana edged Burkina Faso in the semi-finals of the tournament to book a place in the finals against Nigeria by 3-1.

    In the finals of the game, Captain Stella Nyamekye slotted in a 37th-minute penalty for the host to send the home fans into cheers and excitement as they commanded most of the game in possession.

    Some minutes to end the game, the opposing side was handed a lifeline as goalkeeper, Afi Amenyaku made a mess of the ball which saw her punished to tie the game at 1-1. 

    The game went to penalties, which saw, Afi save three crucial penalties in the shoot-out to help the host edge the Nigerians on penalties to lift the inaugural WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup.
