    Black Queens cruised to a five-nil victory over Rwanda in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers second leg at the Accra Sports Stadium.


    A fortnight ago, the Black Queens had made light work of their midweek opponents, Rwanda beating them by seven goals.

    Coach Nora Hauptle fielded a strong starting berth against Rwanda and it was least surprising that they made their home advantage count with, the enterprising, Alice Kusi hitting a remarkable hat-trick in 37 minutes.

    WATCH HIGHLIGHTS :

    Evelyn Badu made her presence count in the 42nd minute making it fourth in the game before halftime.
    Stella Nyamekye added the side’s fifth goal of the game in the dying embers to help the Black Queens a 12-0 aggregate score line across both legs.

    The Black Queens will play Namibia in the next round of games over a two–legged tie, between November, 11,2023, and December, 5,2023.
