WAFA SC midfielder, Lawrence Agyekum, has left the shores of Ghana to Europe following an invitation by Ligue 1 outfit, Troyes SC, and Austrian side RB Salzburg for trials, Saharafootball.net can exclusively confirm.

The vibrant player will hope to land a deal with either of the clubs to jump-start his professional career to another level.

The 18-year-old attacking force has become a mainstay with WAFA SC since returning from a career-threatening injury, a season ago, aiding his team to a 3rd place finish behind Hearts of Oak and Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League 2020/21 season.

Agyekum’s trials with Troyes SC and RB Salzburg come as little or no surprise following his impressive performances over the years as well as his involvement in over 5 goals for his club in the ongoing league campaign.

If this France or Austria deal materializes, the young lad will have other African nationals like Daniel Owusu, Forson Amankwah, Dongmo Danel, Kabore Issa, Kone Youssouf, Koumame Rominigue, Balde Mama to help him acclimatize in either of his new surroundings.
