Liverpool player Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, have died in a fatal car crash in Spain when the Lamborghini they were in veered off a road and burst into flames, police said Thursday.
The Spanish Civil Guard confirmed to the media that the 28-year-old Jota and his 25-year-old brother, André Silva, were found dead near the northwestern city of Zamora.

Jota got married to his lifelong partner Rute Cardoso whom the pair has three children, on June 22, 2025, in a beautiful wedding ceremony back home.
He won the English Premier League with Liverpool and the Nations League with Portugal against Spain.

It’s unclear what led to the accident, but reports suggest a tire burst and overspeeding could be the possible factors leading to the death of the two footballers.
The Portuguese international scored 65 goals in 182 games for the Reds.
