Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed an injury setback for Mohammed Kudus ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Kudus has been out of action for four months.
His action on the pitch was against Sunderland in a 1-1 draw.
In the last few weeks, there were reports that he had stepped up his training to recovery, but just today the club confirmed the unfortunate news of his setback.

In an official statement, Tottenham confirmed the setback and revealed the situation could be more serious than initially thought.
“We can confirm that Mohammed Kudus has suffered a setback in his return from injury. The Ghana international forward suffered a significant quad injury during our Premier League fixture against Sunderland in January.
“He had returned to team training during the past week; however, he will now require further specialist review and, potentially, surgery. We will provide any relevant further updates in due course. We’re all with you, Mo.”
New coach Roberto De Zerbi was hopeful of working with the Ghanaian, but will have to wait until next season.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians have been thrown into a state of shock and despair following the news of Kudus’ injury, who many thought would be able to race against time.
The Black Stars will play Panama, Croatia, and England.
