We did what we were told – Lawrence Agyekum on big Liberty win

WAFA SC made light work of Premier League foes Liberty Professionals when the pair clashed at the Sogakope Red Bull Arena in week 11 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League 2020-21 season.

The home side were coming into this fixture on the back off drawing 1-1 to Ebusua Dwarfs whiles the away side had lost the last three competitive matches in the league (Kotoko, Ebusua Dwarfs, and Dreams FC) with a fourth consecutive loss on the cards the onus laid on their doorsteps to give a good account of themselves.

In the end, WAFA run riot posting a 5-0 win over the Dansoman based club, according to Lawrence Agyekum, who featured prominently in the annihilation of their opponents attributed the win to heed to the instructions of head coach Prosper Narteh, who delivered a masterpiece to silence the other setup.

“We did what we were told to do by our coaches and it yielded good results. We were very prepared for the victory today and by God’s grace, we won.

The midfield was however optimistic about recording more of such results in the coming weeks.

It’s not the end though, we are still focused on getting results of this magnitude in the rest of the games and hopefully, we will get them.” an ecstatic Agyekum.

The highly-rated diminutive midfield gem, Lawrence Agyekum, has since featured in 5 games for WAFA SC in the ongoing league.
