Kotoko, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum was in awe of Heart of Lions’ quality after the two sides settled for a point each in the fiercely contested game at the Kpando Park.

The two teams with a keen interest in winning the league all put their best foot in front with the visiting team striking gold through Justice Blay’s long-range effort in the first half.

After recess, the home team found themselves back in the game after Ali Fawaz pounced on a cross from a teammate to head beyond the reach of Fred Asare in post for the away outfit.

Speaking in the post-match interview with the club’s media team, Dr. Ogum acknowledged the strength of Bashiru Hayford’s side, describing them as a “very formidable team” with a strong defensive organization that makes them difficult to break down, especially on their home turf.

“I think if you look at Hearts of Lions they are doing very well in the league. C, a very formidable side.

They have a very good defensive network. So it’s very difficult to score against them.

So playing in Kpando, with them having the 12th man, and we taking the lead, and them coming back. Having a point here is okay”.

Kotoko lies at the summit of the table with 46 points from 25 games.
