The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has finalized the outstanding payment of $120,000 owed to former Black Stars head coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor.
Akonnor, who led the national team for 21 months before his dismissal in 2021 but was not paid his salary for the job done.

The 51-year-old was sacked following a 1-0 defeat to South Africa in the second Group G match of Ghana’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac stepped into the head coach capacity after Akonnor was let go.
