Special Competition: Matchday 13 results: Hearts, Ashgold, Kotoko win, WAFA lose again

Here are the results for Matchday thirteen of the Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee’s Special Competition.




Asante Kotoko 2-0 Medema SC

Asante Kotoko secured a very important win in Kumasi with a win over Medeama. The return of Sogne Yacouba was crucial to the Porcupines as the player scored and assisted to help put Kotoko on top of the Zone A table standings. Yacouba and Fatawu were on the scoresheet.


Ashantigold 4-0 Bechem United

Ashantigold were too strong for Bechem United as the visiting team suffered a heavy defeat in Obuasi. Roland Amouzou, Appiah McCarthy and Shafiu Mumuni were on target for the host, Daniel Owusu scored an own goal to add to his team’s misery.


Eleven Wonders 0-0 Aduana Stars

Eleven Wonders and Aduana Stars settled for a goalless draw in Nkoranza. Both teams had chances to score but couldn’t convert them.

 

Hearts Of Oak 3-1 Elmina Sharks




Hearts of Oak registered another home victory against Elmina Sharks on Sunday, extending their home unbeaten run in the Special Competition. Christopher Bonney scored the first goal through a penalty kick, Manaf Umar scored the second, George Amonoo scored one for Elmina before Abdul Fatawu scored the third for Hearts.

Karela United 2-0 Dreams FC

Solomon Sarfo Taylor and Patrick Yeboah were on target as Karela United ignite their qualifications hope.



Inter Allies 4-2 WAFA SC

Inter Allies were in the winners in a six-goal thriller game at Tema Stadium on Sunday. Samuel Armah ( brace), Michel Otou and Fuseini Mohamed scored for Inter Allies while Justice Amate and Ibrahim Abukari scored for WAFA.

Ebusua Dwarfs 1-2 Liberty Professionals

Liberty Professionals secured an important win away from home and keep their qualification hopes alive. Razak Isah scored for Ebusua, while Elvis Kyei Baffour and Simon Zibo scored for the visiting team.
