There is something wrong with Abalora – Ali Jara

Former Ghana Blackstars goalkeeper Ali Jara, one of the finest safest pair of hands for the country at the time, has opined that Kotoko’s current shot-stopper, Razak Abalora should be allowed to step aside noting that there’s something wrong with the young lad.

This follows Abalora’s mistake that gifted Morocco a 1-0 victory over the Black stars, their first in four attempts in an international friendly on Tuesday evening.

“We need to ask him if it’s the fault of the floodlights that worried his vision because at the time the ball was kicked, it was a free ball, he wasn’t under any pressure to make mistake.

“Indecision played a part on his behalf leading to the goal.”

“I believe Kotoko should let him rest for a while, because at the start of the league, you saw some basic mistakes when he started playing for them,” he told Sadick Adams of Angel FM

Ali Jara further suggested that the senior national handlers needed to ensure that, other goalkeepers(Joseph Addo, Ofori Antwi, Felix Annan) and others in the league and beyond have to be given the opportunity to showcase their worth to create enough competition.
