Ghana maintained its position in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola rankings released on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

In the previous rankings released a month ago, the football powerhouse was placed 60th globally and 11th on the African continent behind Morrocco, Egypt, Nigeria, Senegal, and Cameroon.

Blackstars began their 2023 African qualifying series with a thumping 3-0 victory over  Madagascar and followed it up with a draw against Central African Republic in the second game in Angola to top the group with 4 points.

The four-nation Kirin Cup in Japan saw the Black Stars emerge 3rd following their 4-1 victory in the penalty shootout against Chile.

Ghana will hope the next set of games slated for September will help move up the ladder on the continent and on the globe.
