    Samartex has been crowned champions of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season for the first time in its club history.



    Emmanuel Mamah and Emmanuel Ocran scored in either half of the game to help secure victory on the coronation day for the host against Accra Lions.

    They finished the season with 61 points from 34 games.

    Some of the milestones, they chalked saw them pick as many as 45 points from a possible 48 points at home. The first team to score thirty-three goals at home as well as the least in goals, six from 16 home games.

    A host of their attackers were on point to score in the league, Evans Osei Wusu (11), Baba Musa (10), Emmanuel Mamah (6), Emmanuel Keyekeh (5), Michael Epshon, and Owusu Boakye with four goals apiece.

    The Timber boy has qualified for the CAF Champions League in two seasons after gaining promotion and will receive GHC 500,000 as the prize money for this year’s winners of the 2023/24 GHPL.
