Rustum Senorgbe to referee Hearts – Kotoko clash

Ho-based Referee Rustum Senorgbe has been appointed to oversee the crucial Ghana Premier League League fixture between the two most glamourous clubs in the league, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The duo were billed to play earlier in the season on match week seven (7) of the league but it had to be postponed due to the host’s involvement on the African terrain which didn’t go according to plan as they were trashed by a heavy margin by their North African counterparts, Wydad Casablanca, Morocco.

Rustum’s experience in the country cannot be underestimated as he brilliantly handled the Hearts and Great Olympics fixture last season in the Mantse Derby which drew loads of people from all walks of life to the Accra Sports Stadium.

In his over ten years of experience in refereeing, Rustum has extolled himself as one of the best following his steady progression from the lower ranks of Ghana football to the Ghana Premier League.

This season, he has managed matches involving AshGold and Elmina Sharks(week 5), Dreams and Kotoko (week 6), Medeama and Aduana (week 10), Olympics, and King Faisal (week 14)

Other match officials that have been chosen to assist him are Patrick Papala,  Gilbert Adom on the first and second lines with Bahiru Dauda as the fourth referee on the day

Hearts of Oak will be looking to halt the impressive run of their visitors who currently lead the pack with 36 points.

The Accra Sports Stadium will be the venue for attraction on February,20,2022.
