    Several Ghanaian players made the most of their opportunities they got to play for their respective teams across the globe.

    In this piece we look at the performances of some Ghanaian players over the weekend.

    England

    Antoine Semenyo was vital for Bournemouth as they beat Wolves on penalties to progress to the quarterfinals after a 1-1 draw following extra time. He was named Man oi the Match.

    Defender Tariq watched the remainder of the game from the dressing room as he was given his in the 91st minute of the game. Brighton managed to scale over Newcastle in extra time to advance to the FA Cup quarterfinals.

    Michael Baidoo’s Plymouth lost to ManCity at the Eithad by 3-1 in the FA Cup.

    There was no games for Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Kamal Sulemana as their respective side’s have been bundled out of the FA Cup.

    Spain

    Defender Abdul Mumin suffered an injury on the 35 minutes in Rayo Vallecano’s 1-1 draw against Sevilla.

    Iñaki Williams’ Athletic Club lost away to Atletico Madrid.

    Joseph Aidoo continues to nurse an injury as he watched on his side play out 1-1 draw against Las Palmas.

    France (Ligue 1)

    Former Black Stars captain, André Ayew scored and assisted Le Havre’s 4-3 away win over RC Lens.

    Gideon Mensah and Elisha Owusu tasted defeat against Strasbourg at home.

    Augustine Boakye came off the bench in St. Etienne 1-3 loss to OGC Nice.

    Alidu Seidu is still out for Stade Rennes.

    Belgium

    Mohammed Fuseini came off the bench to score for USG in their 4-1 win over Dender in the Belgian Pro League.

    Lawrence Agyekum and Francis Abu featured for Cercle Brugge as they pulled off a goalless draw at home against Antwerp.

    Scotland

    Crystal Palace on loan player to Celtic Jeffrey Schlupp contributed to two goals in Celtic’s 5-2 drubbing off St. Mirren in the SPL.

    Serbia

    Forward Ibrahim Zubairu was on the scoresheet for Partizan in their win over Tekstilac in the Serbian league.
