Richardson Takyi Junior has spoken about his performance in the just-ended season in Spain.

The 21-year-old player who joined Villaviciosa de Odón mid-season from Robledo gave his best in the just-ended season with his new club.

Speaking to Saharafootball.net after the end season, he expressed ambition of challenging himself for the season ahead.

“The switch mid-season from Robledo to Villaviciosa wasn’t easy for me, but I’m glad my coach and teammates helped me settle there well.”

He added, ” I am looking to go a step further from what I achieved in the just-ended season. It’s but one of my ambitions for the new season”.

Takyi’s prolific goal-scoring abilities earned him 8 goals and 2 assists in 10 games in the Spanish 6th-tier league.

The former WAFA SC Academy product has endeared himself to the club fans and will be hoping to go a step further when the new season resumes in August with Villaviciosa de Odón.

Together with his brother, Ransford Takyi Darko, they have qualified the club for the Copa Del Rey.
