Real Betis sign Ghanaian midfielder Mawuli Mensah.



Real Betis  has completed the signing of Mawuli Mensah, a promising young talent from Ghana.

The 19-year-old midfielder has inked a three-year contract with the La Liga club, having transferred from Antequera CF during the summer transfer window.

His versatility and impressive performance in aiding Antequera CF’s promotion to the First RFEF league caught the attention of Real Betis, managed by Manuel Pelligrini.

According to the official statement on Betis’ website, the agreement between the two clubs will see Mawuli Mensah associated with the Verdiblanco subsidiary until 2026.

The young Ghanaian footballer, born in Acra on November 15, 2003, expressed his delight at joining the club and conveyed his ambition to make a significant impact in the upcoming season.

Mensah acknowledged that he is thrilled with the opportunity and revealed his dream of eventually progressing to the first team. However, initially, he will be training with the youth setup as Pelligrini gradually integrates him into the senior squad.

Before making the move to Spain, Mawuli Mensah previously played for the Ghanaian team, Shooting Stars.
