Former Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong, is optimistic about the return of Prosper Narteh Ogum to Kotoko.

Ogum Narteh returned to the club after resigning from the club a year ago following a host of infractions with certain key management and board members.

But in a swift turn of events, he has since returned for a second spell after leading the club to its twenty-five league in his first season at the club.

Speaking to Citi Sports, Amos Frimpong is optimistic that, Ogum will be more successful in his second spell than his former.

“The second coming of Prosper Narteh Ogum will be a good thing for Kumasi Asante Kotoko because in his first coming, he did not have a lot of experience but he still managed to win the Premier League title,” he told Citi Sports.

“Coming back again, I am pretty sure he has gathered a lot of experience. This time around he is going to work harder than the first time and also win a lot of trophies for the club.”

Ogum will hope to reclaim the lost league title he won for the club before he resigned from Tarkwa club, Medeama SC in the upcoming season 2023/24.
