Black Sarlets coach Prosper Narteh Ogum is hopeful of securing qualification for the U-17 World Cup.
The team secured qualification to the U-17 AFCON tournament in Morocco after they beat Nigeria by 2-0 on Tuesday night.

“The target is to qualify for the World Cup. Qualifying for the AFCON alone is not enough, but we want to go to Morocco and qualify for the World Cup,” he told Asempa FM.
“I believe we have the players to achieve this target because it has been a while since we saw the Black Starlets at the AFCON and at the World Cup. We will go to Morocco and raise the flag of Ghana high and ensure that we make it to the World Cup.
“We will try to improve the squad before the AFCON because we have a target that we have to meet, and I will do that with the Ghana Football Association (GFA),” he added.

Ghana will face hosts Cote d’Ivoire on Friday, October 3, in the final.
