Sports Minister Kofi Adams has assured Kotoko of resolving the death of supporter, Francis Yaw Frimpong.

Kofi Adams met the club officials to commiserate with them and assure them of bringing the perpetrators to book.

Nana “Pooley” was sadly stabbed at Nsoatre in the game between Nsoatreman and Kotoko in game week 19 of the league.

Following the stabbing, the police have made seven arrests notable amongst them is the bankroller of Nsoatreman FC, Ignatius Baffour-Awuah.

Speaking with Kotoko officials in a recent interaction, he assured them of bringing finality to the death.

“We will not just condemn the incident [Pooley’s death] and leave it at that,” Kofi told Kotoko in a meeting on Friday.

“We need to [curb such incidents] and I am regularly in conversation with IGP and taking briefs.

“The Ministry is also monitoring the situation and whoever is found to have played a role [in the fatal incident], it does not matter the status of the person, we will see to it that punishment is given to serve as a deterrent for others.”
