My players gave everything – Hearts of Oak coach Kim Grant

Accra Hearts of Oak coach Kim Grant insists that his players did all they could to get a positive result in their first game of the 2019/2020 Premier League season.

Hearts of Oak suffered a narrow defeat at home against Berekum Chelsea thanks to Jonah’s first-half deflected strike.

After the game, Kim Grant stated that his boys gave everything to get back into the game but were unlucky.

“I can’t fault the players, they gave me everything today and I couldn’t ask for anything more,” he said.

“We tried to get a goal back, we tried to get the win. We dominated the game but that’s football. I can’t fault Fatawu or the rest of the players, they did everything possible to get back into the game but that’s football. We will shift our focus to the next game and prepare for it” he added.

Hearts of Oak will travel to play Medeama in Matchday Two of the Premier League season and will be looking to bounce back from their home defeat.
