Pictures: VAR to be used for the first time in Ghana

The Video Assistant Referee technology (VAR) has successfully been installed at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and will be used for the first time in the country on Friday.



Ghana host Nigeria in the World Cup Qualifiers playoff in Kumasi on Friday and football fans in Ghana will witness the VAR in action for the first time in the country.

VAR has successfully been installed at the Baba Yara Sports stadium, Kumasi, ahead of the World Cup playoff qualifier between Ghana and Nigeria on Friday.

This is the first time the technology is applied in Ghana

The game will kick off on Friday 25th March, 7:30 pm in Kumasi and the second leg will come off four days later in Abuja.
