    The Black Queens of Ghana secured a massive victory away from home against Benin in the 2024 Olympic Games on Friday evening.

     



    Head coach Nora Hauptle fielded a strong starting berth with the likes of, captain Portia Boakye, Evelyn Badu, Princella Adubea, Vivian Adjei Konadu, Doris Boaduwaa, and Grace Asantewaa.

    Doris Boaduwaa opened the scoring for the Black Queens on the stroke of halftime with a penalty, which saw the team head into the break with that slim lead.

    The second half saw coach Nora Hauptle effect a tactical change taking off, Vivian Konadu for Gifty Assifuah, who made a strong impact in the game. 

    In a space of five minutes, Gifty Assifuah scored a brace in the 73rd and 78th minutes to help the Queens to a three-goal advantage.

    The game ended 3-0 the Black Queens basking in an important victory away from home with the second leg coming off on October,31,2023 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
