Aduana Stars head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin has relinquished the club’s ambitions of basking the betPawa Premier League title following their shocking home loss to Dreams FC at the Nana Agyeman Badu II Park on Saturday.

The Ogya host prior to their home game against the travelling Dreams FC side had not lost a game at their home venue in their last five encounters, having lost in their last away game to an exciting Accra Lions side in Accra, they were hoping to remedy the situation with a win at home but their opponents had other ideas.

Match Review: Medeama SC beat King Faisal

For Dreams FC, the push for premier league safety meant that, they had to push against all odds to get a favorable result, having won three games from five, it meant that their confidence was on a rooftop coming into the cliffhanger against Aduana Stars.

Both teams went at each other in a nerve-racking first half which ended in a goalless draw game but Ali Huzaf shot his side into an early lead in the 60 minutes, which proved the match winner of the game.

Speaking to StarTimes following the shocking loss at home to Dreams FC, coach Paa Kwesi Fabin conceded the team were out of the title contention but remained hopeful in the ultimate round of games should something happen  “No, of course, we are almost out. We are out. It’s an obligation to play in the (next) two matches, so we will play and see what happens.”

This is Aduana’s first loss at home which sees them four points adrift Tarkwa-based club, Medeama SC, who beat King Faisal at the Akoon Park on Friday.
