Ghana Premier League club, Asante Kotoko and defender, Mohammed Nurudeen have agreed to part ways ahead of the approaching 2024/2025 season.

Nurudeen joined the Kumasi-based club for three years ahead of the 2023/24 season but managed to play just a season aiding them to a 6th-place finish.

The defender who doubles as an enrolled nurse under the Ghana Health Service has chosen to tow the nursing path despite several pleas from the club’s management to give football a shot.

In a statement released by the club, it agreed to mutually part ways with the defender ahead of the new season.

Portions of the statements highlight that “The IMC would like to assure our supporters that the club will not suffer any financial or sporting penalties due to this decision and wishes Nurudeen the best for the future.”
