    Tariq Lamptey has spoken out about his pride in playing for the BlackStars after training with his colleagues ahead of the Brazil friendly.



    The Brighton and Hove Albion right-wing back, who switched his international allegiance to represent, Ghana is in line for his debut against Brazil on Friday.

    Lamptey was born to Ghanaian parents in the UK having played for  England  U19 and U21 levels, he opted to play for Ghana after several talks with the Football Association.

    “I am very proud to be here and I am really determined to train hard, give the best as I can and I looking forward to the game on Friday” 



    “In this game you have to prepare very well, you prepare based on how you want to play and we already excited and looking forward to play against the team on Friday.”

    “I am just really excited to come here and get to work. I am very happy and looking forward to the game.” He told the GFA media.

    Ghana will play Brazil at the Stade Oceane Le Havre on Friday, September 23, 2022.
