Kumasi Asante Kotoko CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah remained tight-lipped on the chances of his side copping one of the biggest football names in the country, Kwesi Appiah as coach of the club.

In the just-ended league, there have been growing reports suggesting that Portuguese trainer, Mariano Bareto’s stint with the club had ended following his relocation to his country of birth.

Nana Yaw Amponsah when queried on who will be given the mandate to lead the club as the new season gears up shared little in his recent media interview on Starr FM.

“I can’t confirm or deny. I don’t want to go into that but if at any point in time Kwesi Appiah wants to come to Kotoko, the doors are opened”. he ended.

Kotoko lost out on the Ghana Premier League to their fiercest rivals Accra Hearts of Oak whiles they were dumped out of the MTN FA CUP by Berekum Chelsea seeing the club go trophyless for the first time in many years.
