Aduana Stars forward, Zakaria Mumuni has opened up about his club’s ambitions for the season after a hard-fought victory over, Accra-based side, Great Olympics at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese Park.

The host for the first time had to switch stadiums in the ongoing league following their match-day violence against Tamale City, which prompted the GFA to place a ban on the Nana Agyemang Badu I park.

Following the temporal stadium ban, they went into the clash with the objective of solidifying their lead at the summit which was made possible through a second-half goal from Frank Owusu.

Speaking to Sharafootballl.net after the game, Mumuni said every game the team plays now is like a final game towards their title hunt.

“We went into that game with a lot of determination knowing that if drop points it will be difficult for us with the Kotoko game next in line, so, we did our best against Great Olympics”

“Our ambitions were tailored towards winning the double but we were dumped out of the FA Cup, so now the priority is now the league, every game is like a final game to us” he ended.

The experienced forward has slowly warmed his way back into the hearts of the fans of the club, where he has featured in close to ten appearances since leaving Tarkwa-based club, Medeama in the mid-season of the league.

The current league leaders will face off with Asante Kotoko in week twenty-seven’s top liner at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
