    Mubarak Wakaso, a midfielder for the Black Stars, has signed with KAS Eupen of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League for the 2022–23 campaign.



    Wakaso previously played for Chinese Super League side Shenzen FC but had to end his association with the side after some time.

    The midfielder has missed some of the recent games as he worked to get back to full health after recuperating from a knee ailment.

    The seasoned player will transfer to Eupen in the hopes of securing enough playing time in his pursuit to make Otto Addo’s Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar.

    After stints in Spain’s La Liga with Villareal, Las Palmas, and Wakaso’s latest transfer sees him make a return to European football after spells in Spain’s La Liga with Villareal, Las Palmas, Espanyol.
