    Hearts of Oak lost on penalties to Division One club Golden Kick at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

     



    The two teams meeting for the first time in the FA Cup competition were looking to get one past each other.

    Coach Aboubakar Ouattara was named a strong starting berth, with Benjamin Asare in the post, Michael Amoadu and Emmanuel Amankwah in the full-back positions, and mKonadu Yiadom and Samuel Amofa as the defensive fair. Theophilus Collinson was used as a defensive midfielder, flanked by Seth Osei, Yussif Ramsey, and Kwabena Boateng in modifier, with HAMZA Issah leading the lines.

    The host side, Golden Kick held the Phobians to a scoreless first half and repeated a stronger performance for the second half.

    They defended their lines beautifully and held their own against the Premier League team forcing the game to penalties.

    They edged the Phobians 4-3 on penalties to advance to the quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup with experience head, Zakaria Mumuni scoring the ultimate penalty for his side.
