    MTN FA CUP : Nsoatreman FC pip Legon Cities to finals

    The MTN FA Cup was the toast of the weekend for Ghanaian football lovers in place of the Ghana Premier League at the Sogakope Red Bull Arena. 



    The first semi-finals of the competition saw Maxwell Konadu’s Nsoatreman taking on his former side, Legon Cities.

    Both teams put their best bet regarding their starting lineup on the field, goalkeeper, Daniel Afadzwu Stephen Diyou, Sadat Mohammed, Umar Manaf, and Abdul Rahman Mohammed for Nsoatreman.

    Similarly, Paa Kwesi Fabian named, Joseph Mereku, Samuel Tenedu, Mohammed Suleman, Mohammed Alidu, and Kamal Suraje as one of several players for the starting lineup.

    The game started with a lot of attacking intensity but Nsoatreman FC got their noses in front as promising youngster, Foster Apetorgbor registered the game’s first goal in the 35th minute. 

    Three minutes later, Abdul Rahman Mohammed increased their tally with a two-goal unassailable lead to end the first half.

    Legon Cities halved the deficit upon resumption in the second half through, William Adjei but it wasn’t enough as Nsoatreman FC held on resolutely to coast to victory., 2-1.

    Nsoatreman FC will await the tie winner between defending champions Dreams FC and Bofoakwa Tano.
