An Albert Amoah double proved pivotal for Kotoko as they edged Future FC out in the MTN FA Cup Round of 64 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The home side has endured a torrid campaign in the league, going on a four-game losing streak before finding their feet with an away win against Aduana Stars.

Coach Prosper Ogun Narteh named under fire Guinean goalkeeper, Mouhammed Camara in the post, Justice Blay as captain, Samba Oneil, Joseph Ablorh, Lord Amoah, Baba Yahaya, Patrick Asiedu, Andrews Ntim, Saaka Dauda, Elvis Kyei, Albert Amoah, in attack.

The first half failed to produce any goal between the two clubs.

Baba Yahaya was taken off for Emmanuel Antwi for the second half.

Albert Amoah latched onto a perfect cross from Michael Kyei to open the scoring for the Porcupine Warriors with the simplest of tap-ins on the 70th-minute mark.

The host probed unenged for the cushioning goal missing a lot of goal-scoring opportunities.

Albert Amoah was back on the score sheet as he raced onto a beautiful pass from midfielder Emmanuel Antwi striking a ferocious shot beyond the reach of Future FC goalkeeper four minutes to end proceedings.

The Porcupine Warriors will head into the super clash against Accra Hearts of Oak with bundles of confidence having picked up two wins in two games in two separate competitions.
