    Asante Kotoko secured their passage to the finals of the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup following a slender win over Berekum Chelsea. 



    Albert Amoah’s late goal proved decisive for the Porcupine Warriors who have endured a rocky spell in the last few weeks.

    Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea  slide through to the semi-finals came into the semifinal with wins over True Democracy and Bechem United respectively.

    The first half raced to an end with no goals separating the two teams after several chances were spurred within that interval.

    The second half was more tenser with how they approached the game tactically which gave the fans a lot of nervy moments on when the goal will be scored.

    Eight minutes to end proceedings, Albert Amoah leaped high to head home Baba Yahaya’s cross to give Kotoko the lead.

    Coach Boadu and his charges rallied for a late equalizer but the defensive resoluteness of the Porcupine defense was on hand to nullify all their incessant attacks.

    Kotoko will square off with Division  One side Golden Kick FC.
