    Hearts of Oak soared to victory over newly promoted side Vision FC at University of Ghana Stadium.

     



    The pair playing for the first time gave fans their monies worth with some amazing display of football at the University grounds.

    Mawuli Wayo came off the bench replacing Kwabena Boateng in the second half was on hand to poke the Phobians into the lead after a goalless first half.

    Coach Outtara without his able defender, Asibey slotted in Michael Awuah to partner Samuel Amofa in the center-back position, flanked by Ransford Mensah and Emmanuel Agyemang, Theo Collison in the heart of midfield, Salim Adams with his first start in the league whiles, Sammie Moahmmed and Ramzy the wingers with Hamza Issah leading the lines.

    Nana Agyemang also named Ben Tsatsu, Patrick Mensah and EDmund Asante in place of Gideon Offei Ofori, Edward Agyemang, Kingsley Appiah for the game.

    Issah Akukah had the opportunity of setting the game blaze in five minutes but spurned his glorious opportunity.

    Kwabena Boateng made a mess of a teasing cross from teammate Sannie Mohammed for the opener on the 11th-minute mark.

    Two minutes later, Ramzy also missed a glorious chance.

    Coach Outtara effected two subs after the half-time mark, Yaw Baafi and Mawuli Wayo came on for Emmanuel Amankwah and Kwabena Boateng.

    Four minutes later, Mawuli Wayo repaid the confidence reposed by coach Outtrara by scoring the opener from Michael Awuah’s header from Baafi’s cross to set the whole stadium in cheers of excitement.

    The Phobians will revel in this victory as it marks back-to-back wins for them in the league for the first time.

    They travel away to Karela United while Vision FC will be at home to Dreams FC.
