Mercy Tagoe named head coach of Ghana Women’s U-23 national team.



Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has assumed the role of head coach for Ghana’s Women’s Under-23 national team.

Tagoe-Quarcoo boasts an impressive track record, having led the Black Queens to victory in the WAFU Zone B Women’s championship in 2018 and holding a CAF License A Coaching certificate.

Additionally, she has actively pursued professional growth by participating in the GFA’s capacity-building program in the Netherlands.

Assisting Tagoe-Quarcoo is Priscilla Dicxon, a skilled coach with a CAF Licence C Coaching certificate. Together, they form a strong coaching partnership committed to guiding the U23 team to success and offering a pathway for aspiring female players to ascend to the senior national team, the Black Queens.

This appointment is in line with the GFA’s Women’s Football Strategy, emphasizing talent cultivation and progression to ensure sustained excellence on the global platform.
