Medeama will win the Ghana PL soon – Patrick Akoto

Communication Director of Medeama SC, Patrick Akoto has reiterated his side’s ambition to clinch the Ghana Premier League title soon.

The Mauve and Yellow outfit have long being eluded the title and in the last few seasons they have come close to winning it, the story hasn’t been any different.

Last year, until the cancellation of the Ghana Premier League, the first in history, Medeama were top of the table until the Anas exposé annulled what could have been their chance to a silverware, this season 2019 was similarly truncated as a result of the deadly coronavirus outbreak, which decimated lots of lives in the country and the rest of the world.

However, the versatile Communications Director of the Tarkwa based club is not giving up hope as yet, as he maintains that his side boasts a formidable unit under the current leadership of Samuel Boadu and will look to forge stability, continuity, and unity in order to properly challenge when the new season resumes at an unannounced date.

“As you all know we are a team that maintains our players for long periods. Our materials are there and we are waiting for the next competition to go again,” he spoke to Kumasi based Foxx FM.

The Ghana Premier League was recently canceled by GFA EXCO after a long period of suspension following the outbreak of COVID in the country.
