Medeama SC President Moses Armah reveals strategy behind transfer of 9 players to Malta

Moses Armah Parker, the President of Medeama SC, has provided insight into the transfer of nine players from his team to Sirens FC in the Maltese Premier League.

This action is in line with Medeama SC’s strategic blueprint to enhance their players’ growth and international exposure.

The group of nine players, namely Kwasi Donsu, Prosper Owusu Boakye, Charles Agyemang, Frank Boateng, Joshua Agyemang, Bismark Asare, Daniel Opoku, Moro Muktar, and Akadom Mohammed Hafiz, have all formally agreed to embark on their European football journey alongside Sirens FC.

Among them, Kwasi Donsu, Frank Boateng, and Joshua Agyemang have secured loan arrangements for a year, whereas the remaining seven players have entered into permanent contracts, confirming their dedication to the Maltese club.

Parker disclosed that the process of scouting and negotiation had been ongoing for approximately a year, with his personal involvement during a trip to Malta culminating in the agreements. He expressed appreciation to the management, technical staff, and all those who played a role in facilitating these transfers.

Parker noted, “This is not only a significant opportunity for the players but also paves the way for Ghanaian players from various other clubs,” underscoring the historical importance of this move within Ghanaian football.”

The recent triumph of Medeama SC over Remo Stars in the first leg of the 2023 CAF Champions League has added to the positive atmosphere. The team secured a 1-0 victory at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, setting the stage for the upcoming return fixture in Nigeria on Sunday, August 27th.
