    Tarkwa-based, Medeama SC has been crowned champions of the Ghana Premier League season 2022/23 after beating Tamale City at the Akoon Park. 


    Before this encounter, the host needed a win or draw to bag their first trophy in 14 years which they did excitingly in front of their teeming supporters. 

    Kwadwo Amoako shot the home side into an early lead in the 6th minute of the game which they held on to the first half. 

    Match Preview and Predictions: Medeama SC vs Tamale City

    Upon resumption of the second half, Jonathan Sowah added the side’s second in the 66th minute of the game. 

    Ten minutes later, Joshua Agyemang finish off the away side with the third goal of the game. 

    The results see, the Mauve and Yellow outfit, win the Ghana Premier League for the first time in its history as they led the pack with 60 points, five points adrift second placed Aduana Stars.
