Medeama coach, Evans Adotey reveals his side is psychologically prepared for Yanga SC

Medeama’s coach, Evans Adotey, emphasized that despite facing obstacles in securing an appropriate training venue in Tanzania for their upcoming match against Yanga SC, his team is mentally primed for the challenge.

Adotey acknowledged the team’s recent difficulties in accessing a suitable practice ground on both Monday and Tuesday, creating some preparation uncertainties.

Nevertheless, he conveyed confidence in the team’s mindset, emphasizing that achieving either a victory or a draw would propel them forward.

He explained: “Psychologically, we’re prepared because like I said earlier, I need to be cautious. A win or a draw tomorrow will see my team marching forward. A defeat will bring the morale of my team down,” he said.

“Four out of nine points, I need a win or a draw to keep going because the next game against Al Ahly is also a very difficult task. My boys are psyched and we’re ready for the battle tomorrow. The field will decide tomorrow at the end of the day.”

Recalling their previous encounter, the initial leg between Medeama and Yanga SC culminated in a 1-1 stalemate in Kumasi.

As the Ghanaian champions eye Wednesday’s fixture, their aspiration is to clinch a victory and bolster their chances of advancing in the tournament.
