    Ghanaian forward Maxwell Abbey Quaye played a pivotal role in helping Al Jeel seal  promotion from the Saudi Second Division League to the First Division in the 2025-26 season.



    The 28-year-old striker joined Al Jeel in February 2026 on a short-term deal from fellow Second Division side Al Qalah.

    His arrival at Al Jeel proved crucial to the new team, for which he became a cult hero among fans at the Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium.
    Quaye scored 22 goals contribution in 26 matches.
    They ended the season with 58 points, a 13-goal difference, which confirmed their promotion.

    The Ghanaian is said to be attracting keen interest from a host of clubs in the Gulf region as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
