A Stephen Diyou goal for Nsoatreman FC stabbed Kotoko where it hurt the most in-game week eight of the league.

Kotoko was hoping to break their repetitive duck of draws after their two consecutive wins over, Accra Lions and Aduana Stars.

Coach Prosper Narteh named a strong starting berth which consisted of, Danlad Ibrahim, Kalo Outtara, Steven Mukwala, Michael Dwamena, Paul Acquah, and others.

Nsoatreman started the game with loads of intensity and purpose, which saw Danald Ibrahim called into action several times in the course of the game.

It was least surprising that their effort paid off in the 41st minute through Stephen Diyou after the Kotoko defense failed to clear their lines aiding the host to take the lead ahead of the visitors.

Henry Ansu received the first booking of the game in the 14th minute followed by Nicholas Osei Bonsu in the 37th minute but the former was given his marching orders on the stroke of halftime after a clumsy tackle on Philip Ofori.

Kotoko returned from the break with a man down and a goal down but their efforts for an equalizer were met with a block of resistance from coach Maxwell Konadu and his charges who held on to pick their fourth win of the season.

The win sees Nsoatreman topple Aduana Stars to the summit of the table with Kotoko on 9th on the log.
