    Kotoko lost the plot against Hearts of Lions in game week nine of the ongoing Ghana Premier League at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

     



    The duo going head to head-to-head for the first time in the league with contrasting fortunes were both in search of a win.

    The Porcupine Warriors slumped against Legon Cities in midweek at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium and needed a perfect response to assuage their defeat.

    Coach Ohum Narteh made some changes to his starting lineup. Camara replaced Asare in the post, and Kyei Dwamena came in for Samuel Tenedu as well as deploying a back four to his favorite three backs.

    Former Hearts of Oak attacker pounced on a bad clearance from Guineana goalkeeper, Moahhmed Cammara to score the opening goal in the 28th minute which they preserved and protected to the half-time break.

    Coach Ogum Narteh switched personnel in the second half, Baba Yahaya, Fernanado Bassey, Samuel Tnedu, and Amidu Acquah came on for Emmanuel Antwi, Kyei Baffour, Albert Amoah, and Michael Kyei.

    Abednego Tetteh, Kwesi Pong was introduced to freshen up the squad for the final quarter of the second half.

    Hearts of Lions held on to pick their first away win of the season while Kotoko have recorded back-to-back defeats in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
